We have amazing events throughout the year to celebrate kids. These events are not only part of our church but part of the community too. Make sure you look out for them and put these in your diary they are NOT TO BE MISSED!
Church in the Park – celebrating Children’s Day
Children’s Day is celebrated nationally the first weekend in March and we love to support it by joining with our community and having a festive occasion. It is held at our local park ground – Rex Morpeth Park – and all the activities put on are free, including the sausage sizzle. It is well worth marking in the calendar as an event not to miss!
Light Party – 31st October
The Light Party is a combined churches event that Liberty Life Church is part of, which is put on every year for the community as an alternative to Halloween. There is usually around 5,000 people there with a stage full of different acts to entertain those who wish to sit while the kids can go around the huge variety of activities – bouncy castles, face painting, test your skills, and of course the free sausage sizzle and candy floss.
Where: Rex Morpheth Park
When: 5:30 – 7:45pm
Cost: gold coin donation per child (entitles them to free food, drinks & rides). Adults free entry, can make gold coin donations at the food tables.
Annual Family Service – Sunday 11 Dec 2016
At the end of each year the Kids Church teams take a service in the main auditorium and show the adults what they have been learning over the year. There are cute songs and dances from Sonbeams, through to the songs, dramas and words from KFC and WCW’s. Then there are prizes for the kids for what they have taken part in and achieved over the year and graduation for those kids moving from one group to the next.
This event is open to the community and we love the parents to come and support their children. Afterwards there is a potluck lunch and bouncy castle to enjoy.
